Flat is the designation for an independent fraction of a building, intended for private housing, whereby several families live in the same building.

It is distinguished by its area and number of rooms.

Normally, a condominium fee is paid so that the building manager can carry out maintenance work and pay for the maintenance of the building.

Meetings of the residents are also held at pre-established intervals or as needed to decide on matters of importance for the apartment complex: setting regulations, changing fees.

The group of flats in the same building is organised as a condominium.
